A less expensive version of the Chrysler Town & Country,
the Voyager focuses its appeal on the principles of longevity,
dependability, performance and safety. Of course, that is
not to say that it sacrifices comfort, but rather the Voyager
is designed for busy families who are also on a budget.
The Voyager has a sturdy construction and a practically
constructed interior that can take years of wear and tear
and still accommodate a variety of tasks. What more do you
want from a no-nonsense minivan?
Available Models
The 2003 Chrysler Voyager is offered in two trim levels:
Base and LX.
Interior Features
The 2003 Chrysler Voyager seats seven passengers. A 50-50
split 3rd-row bench seat is offered, allowing its 55-lb
portions to remove individually, recline, or fold flat.
This versatile feature will surely be put to use by families
on the go.
The Base model comes with front air conditioning, power
steering, cloth upholstery, a center console, cupholders,
an AM/FM/cassette and a digital clock. The uplevel LX model
adds cruise control, heated power mirrors, power windows
and door locks, remote keyless entry, a tachometer and an
under-passenger-seat drawer. The options list is long and
varied, and add-ons can be purchased in packages or individually.
Exterior Features
The Voyager has two sliding side doors, with power operation
for one or both side doors available. This includes a manual
override that allows them to be closed or opened by hand
during the powered phase.
Performance
There are two engines offered with the 2003 Chrysler Voyager.
The first, standard with the entry-level Base trim, is a
2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 150 horsepower at 5200
rpm and 167 lb-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. LX models receive
a 3.3-liter V6 that pumps out 180 horsepower at 5000 rpm
and 210 lb-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. 4-speed automatic
transmission is mated to both engine types.
The Voyager is tough and steady. In addition, a fully independent
front suspension delivers predictable handling and a smooth
ride, regardless of road conditions.
Safety and Security
Dual front airbags are standard, as well as sure-stopping
brakes to protect loved ones. Additional safety equipment
is optional.
